This was the day I learned what the Garapon enemies actually looked like! When I was playing Cosmo Gang the VIdeo I thought they were weird looking birds based on the sprites but nope, these are rats! I got that image to the top left from a magazine that talked about the game.

It's a little obvious who my favorite character became, even if she does not get much attention in the (short lived) series. There are times where all the members of the Cosmo Police Untoucher team would be described, guess which one they left out most of the time! :)

That's all the drawings for now. Also these are not the original sizes of the drawings I just wanted to make them smaller so they fit into the post easier.

The title. I have been drawing since I was in elementary school but I have only been good at it for about 3-4 years now. I used to get in trouble for drawing in class and that was the only thing kids at school even knew me for (if they didn't know me as the weird kid but that is a story for another day).

I have tons of drawings on paper but I can't find too many photos right now so I'll just show when I first started digital art.

I started on MS Paint on a shitty hp stream laptop my parents got me for Christmas. I didn't even have a tablet at this time or a mouse, only the touch pad. I used one hand to hold down the click and the other to move the mouse and draw. Also I didn't know the trick with the pencil tool that made it so that when you went to fill in the colors you would not get those white pixels everywhere.

I got a drawing tablet from my dad on Christmas 2016 and this was the first thing I drew with it, my three characters Katrina, Ruby, and Angelica. It was really hard using the tablet because it was one of those basic ones that didn't have the screen on it. It was so hard that I started avoiding using it after that for a couple weeks! I did eventually go back and start learning how to use the tablet, and I haven't looked back since.

Now this is the point where I am more active on the internet and found out that other art programs exist outside of MS Paint. Was looking around for some free ones (cause I was broke and a child) and I found Firealpaca.

This is not the first thing I made but is a good example of how I used to draw my console tan characters back in the day. I've been doing this whole console tan thing since I was in middle/highschool and my character Rev (previously named Blue, based on the Wii) was created while I was in 7th grade!

Found out even better art programs existed and started using Medibang, may have been around the time I got my new laptop too. The hp was on its last legs and even gave out on me during a college final I was taking on it (not that it ended up mattering because I dropped out of that college...) But I needed a new laptop and had my eyes on a Microsoft Surface Go. Bought that one in December of 2020 and have been using it since. Has a way better screen than my old shitty laptop!

In 2020 I suddenly had a lot more free time (like most people) and I drew more than I could before. I could say this was the period I actually started to like my art more, like I could look at art I made a year ago and NOT hate everything about it. But I had a weird habit of drawing the legs way too long and I didn't even notice until some more time had passed.

I always liked using bright colors but now I could use them in a way that I liked! In the past I also never used construction lines and just raw dogged the pose and character, no planning what so ever. 'Stabilizer' was not a word in my vocabulary, even though I had skakey ass hands.

My most recent developments when it comes to art is drawing different kinds of things, I started out drawing just humans (was a huge weeb in middle/high school) but branched out info furry-like (thanks Star Communicator GBA) and whatever else catches my interest now. Also I just bought Clip Studio Pro this year as a early birthday gift for myself, it was on sale! (I got the one time payment version because fuck subscriptions)

That's all I really have to say about my old art right now but I did find this old drawing of Rev and her first design, back when she was named Blue. Still based on the Wii but does not have as much 'style'. Her fit was so ass.

I was not a apart of the playtest because I tend to be at the end of new trends and whatever news is going on. Unless I am making the active effort to stay on top of news expect me to be among the last people to find out about something. So by the time I got to the applications for the switch online program the slots were filled and I couldn't get in.

As for the test itself I was meant to be a secret but we all know what happened :)

I know that the game was about building up to the sky with some beacons and this is my new favorite game I have never played (or can play in this case). This shit is my jam. This game is the only thing I have been thinking about for the past few days and I have been trying to find everything I can about this game. A little hard when the Nintendo ninjas take down anything that is more than a text description but I have found a way :D

I have been drawing the cavemen and somehow ended up drawing 2 characters constantly. Ore and Slate (yes I name them after rocks and stuff). Ore is just the basic caveman with no custom parts and Slate is wearing some deco (what the game calls the user made content). I draw them doing random things sometimes and (if) this game ends up available for everyone to play I have some deco I want to make!

Another thing I like to do is to turn consoles and stuff into cute girls so when I saw the guide character of the game (the dev mind) I knew exactly what I had to do... It took a while to get a design I was happy with though, I wanted to have the 'mysterious god-like being' vibe mixed with the whole 'planet development program' theme of the test game. I made two main outfits and was trying to decide between them, also trying to figure out the hair. I was not in the test group so the information I can gather on this character is limited.

Part two of the design process. More messing around with the hair, accessories and trying to figure out what color (or colors) the hair should be. I still had the two outfits at this time but started leaning towards type 2 (the long black dress) as the main outfit as it matched the black spherical appearance of the mind more (type 1 just had too much green, maybe good for an alt outfit though).

This was the first sketch of the final design I wanted to use. I deiced on the type 2 outfit with the black/white hair and changed up the ring around the head. I put this sketch here because on the final drawing I changed one thing on a whim while doing the line art...

I ended up changing the hair! When I did this and added the little parts from the beacons I ended up liking it alot and this became the final design for a gijinka of the dev mind! I did end up adding one more thing when drawing them again though, and that was the cube and halo thing on top of the head.

After this small addition I liked her alot and I draw her often because I just think she looks so cool!

Its sketch time! Sometimes I have the sketch of my final pieces of art left over so I will try to talk about them sometimes.

This is the sketch for that cosmo gang art I made before! Well I didn't save the sketch on it's own at first but I did save all the layers of the final art where the sketch layer was a the very bottom under all the background layers and stuff. The drawing started out with just the two main characters in the front (they are the main player characters from cosmo gang the puzzle, Bakuto and Ottoness) but I kept adding characters deiced on a whim that I wanted to draw all the cosmo police characters, added the jammers to balance things out, and ended up drawing a total of 12 characters! Even though I was somewhat used to drawing them at this point it still took multiple days to complete the artwork. I have been drawing comso gang characters for a couple months at this point.

This is the first jammer I drew back in April of 2024. I only even found the series because of a tumblr blog I followed that showed off obscure and quirky games.
